Peter is an executive with over 10 years’ experience in developing and implementing market penetration strategies for organizations ranging in size from start-up to over $300 million in annual revenue. He previously held international management roles for leading education tech companies.

Peter has extensive experience in the ecommerce industry as a result of operating his own ecommerce retail business prior, and now as a successful and well-known wholesaler/distributor to hundreds of ecommerce retailers. He is a member of several ad hoc groups of wholesalers and ecommerce retailers who regularly communicate to share and compare industry best practices.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Virginia University.

Steven has ten years of sales and use tax experience. He started his career with the California State Board of Equalization in the San Jose district office as a Tax Technician before moving to the Use Tax Administration Section of the BOE in Sacramento as a member of the U.S. Customs Group. His final years were spent as a Business Taxes Representative in the Return Analysis Unit of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration where he performs desk audits of gas, diesel, and jet fuel sales and use tax accounts.

Iris has been with Ampersand since 2019. She plays a vital role in ensuring filings are being accurately reported and remitted on time. Iris manages and trains a team of filers. When Iris isn’t busy working on client filings, she enjoys spending time with her cats.

Ralf Dela Pena has five years of experience in the eCommerce industry with a keen understanding of global business flows.

Ralf’s extensive sales and use tax knowledge enable Ampersand to properly service its clients through various stages of the taxation process.

While leading Ampersand’s support team, Ralf has excelled as a trainer for new staff utilizing his unparalleled and meticulous organizational skills. With over 10 years of customer service experience, Ralf ensures that the company is consistently delivering satisfaction, care, and compassion to its valued clients. He has worked with every state that collects sales tax making him tremendously knowledgeable in the area of sales and use tax compliance.

An avid outdoorsman and community activist, Ralf holds his work in the highest regard second only to his lovely puppy, Britney.

Chris is an e-commerce enthusiast with a keen understanding of local and global e-commerce process flows. With his years of experience in customer service and a meticulous eye for detail, he provides and maintains a high level of professionalism for the company and clients. His personal experience, comprehensive knowledge, and non-stop learning in the e-commerce industry enabled him to handle sales and use tax matters with expertise.

Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.

Rahul spearheads Accounts Receivables and Payable along with other sections of FP&A. He joined the company in 2021 after years of advising businesses on accounting, processes, CFO and consulting, as well as other financial matters.

He graduated from Gujarat University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance and became a Chartered Accountant in 2011 in Ahmedabad, India. He obtained his Certified Public Accountancy (CPA-US) in 2014 from the State of California.

His dual certification offers our clients the benefit of accounting experience in two continents. He handles end to end accounting solutions for businesses in US and specializes in working with QuickBooks, Xero, Intacct, Billl.com and ADP.

While working as a Managing Partner at Aqueduct, he is responsible for the accounting, payroll, taxation, cash flow & risk analysis and management reporting for Retail businesses and e-com sellers. He has years of experience practicing auditing, taxation, financial planning, pension and retirement planning in public and private sector firms.
